It is PLICK THE PICK's flagship product in acoustic guitar design, a directional pick with different grips for the thumb and opposing finger.

Among professional guitarists, especially session musicians active both live and in the recording studio, strumming is considered a performance approach that requires great experience and technical skills. Despite its only apparent ease, acoustic guitar strumming acts as a link between the drum pulsation and the harmony of the piece, guiding the groove of the songs. The AV pick is specifically designed to manage strumming with maximum sensitivity and control: it allows playing, even for long periods, with a firm and decisive grip. It is one of the picks that represents the most advanced level of research and innovation implemented by Plick The Plick, and the current AV model is the result of various prototypes and – above all – careful study that has led to an understanding of some dynamics that affect the fingers while holding the pick; the main one is that the true rudder of the pick's grip is the index finger!

The thumb, in fact, is the finger that adjusts the sensitivity of the grip: it slides along the pick, generating different picking positions and different approaches to contact with the string. But it is the index finger that is the decisive counterpart that provides the necessary support: it is the true column of the pick's grip, the pillar on which the thumb's work rests. For this reason, the peculiarity of the AV is a truly unique grip: it is a directional pick with one side reserved exclusively for the index finger's grip (the side with the "Plick" writing) and the other for the thumb's grip (the side with the "AV" writing).

The resistance of the nylon it is made of helps contain wear even in the hands of rhythmic guitarists who play with power and violent attack. The 0.9 mm thickness at the pick's tip guarantees the obvious solidity and sonic impact that such a pick must offer.
